OFFICE TECHNICIAN - Restif Cleaning Service is a 100% employee owned full service cleaning company. Restif is located in Arcata, CA and has been servicing Humboldt County residents and businesses since 1983. We are now accepting applications for an OFFICE TECHNICIAN to work Monday-Friday, 9a-530p. As an employee owned company, we take pride in providing the best cleaning quality and customer service.

- Assist with scheduling work crews as needed
- General office duties; answering phone, mailing, filing, etc.

Compensation:
Starting wage is $10.50/hour but increases SUBSTANTIALLY after four month trial period; earning potential to be discussed further if selected for an interview. GUARANTEED performance bonus of between $500-800 per month during trial period.

Job Title: Window Washer
Job Purpose:
To wash windows both interior and exterior, clean gutters, clear roofs,  power wash buildings and masonry in order to provide a professional and customer friendly service to homeowners, property managers, renters, governments, schools and commercial - industrial - retail businesses.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
• Cleaning of interior and exterior windows and screens; both commercial and residential
• Power washing siding, decks, brick, concrete
• Gutter cleaning
• Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
• To be responsible for keys and ensuring the security and integrity of sites being cleaned.
• To report maintenance issues or damages as per procedures.
• Other job duties as assigned.

Requirements:
• Possess valid DL and vehicle
• Be able to pass Motor Vehicle Request, so our insurance can place you on our work policy during business hours:
No driver can have any of the following in the last 3 years:
o More than 3 moving violations or two accidents
o No suspension or revocation of DL
o No single violation involving reckless driving, DUI, racing or fleeing an officer or accident.
• Ability to be punctual and have regular attendance.
• Ability to be on feet for 8-10 hours; squatting, bending, reaching, twisting, etc.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to work at heights and climb ladders up to 40’
• Awareness of safety requirements
• Willingness to learn how to use appropriate tools and water purification equipment
• Willingness to work outdoors in all-weather

Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics vary from day to day and include outside work and/or indoors work. Weather conditions will play a large part in the scheduling of work and in the staging of the job.  Jobs may be canceled due to weather that makes for unsafe work conditions. 

Compensation:
• $10.50/hr for ten week trial period
• After trial period: participation on shareholder dividends, patronage.
o Patronage is the distribution of cooperative savings to the shareholders in proportion to their activity in the cooperative.
• Mileage is reimbursed at 53.5¢ per mile

Job Title: Cleaner
Job Purpose:
To undertake cleaning in areas as directed to ensure the areas are kept in a clean and hygienic condition in order to provide a professional and customer friendly service to homeowners, property managers, renters, governments, schools and commercial - industrial - retail businesses.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
• To clean bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas and other associated areas as per outlined standards.
• To clean kitchens including surfaces, large and small equipment, including microwave and other ovens, fridges & freezers, etc.
• Scrub stains and mildew from surfaces.
• Dust, wipe or polish surfaces, building features, shelves, etc.
• Wash baseboards, walls and ceilings.
• Vacuum hardwood floors and carpet, wet or damp mop as directed.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
• To be responsible for keys and ensuring the security and integrity of sites being cleaned.
• To report maintenance issues or damages as per procedures.
• Other job duties as assigned.

Requirements:
• Possess valid DL and vehicle, as your own vehicle is required for use.

Job Title: Janitorial Tech
Job Purpose :
Employees in this job perform and oversee a variety of janitorial, custodial, and/or security tasks to maintain clean and safe buildings and grounds in order to provide a professional and customer friendly service to commercial, governments, schools and industrial - retail businesses.  Actions are normally determined by specific instructions from the supervisor or by following well-defined procedures, methods, and practices.
 
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Daily job responsibilities/functions to include, but not limited to: 
- Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping of flooring and stairs.  ƒ
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms.  ƒ
- Clean sinks, countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators in break rooms.  ƒ
- Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms and common areas.  ƒ
- Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary.  ƒ
- Dusting and cleaning office desks and furniture.ƒ
- Cleaning windowsills and windows.  ƒ
- Maintain janitor closets in a clean, organized and safe manner.  ƒ
- Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition.  ƒ
- Proper labeling, dilution and use of all chemicals.  ƒ 
- General maintenance of grounds ƒ
- Makes rounds of buildings and grounds; inspects doors, windows, and locks to see that they are properly and securely fastened.
- Observes appearances and conditions of premises and equipment; reports needed repairs, safety hazards, or conditions requiring outside vendor services.
- Other routine maintenance duties as assigned.

Job Title: Mechanic Tech
Job Purpose :
We are looking for a skilled Auto Mechanic to maintain and repair vehicles and equipment. You will be responsible for troubleshooting issues and fixing them aiming to maximum reliability and functionality. 

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Inspecting vehicle/equipment engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately
- Inspecting vehicle/equipment computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade
- Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc.) aiming to vehicle/equipment functionality and longevity
- Schedule future maintenance sessions and advise motorists/users on good vehicle/equipment use
- Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues (e.g. leaks)
- Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job
- Keep logs on work and issues
- Maintain equipment, workspace and tools in good condition
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
- Proven experience as auto mechanic
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles
- Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
- Ability to handle various tools (e.g. pliers) and heavy lift equipment of 100+ lbs
- Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.
- Ability to be punctual and have regular attendance.
- Ability to be on feet for 8-10 hours; squatting, bending, reaching, twisting, etc.
- Be able to work in a team atmosphere, as well as being able to work independently.
- Positive, upbeat personality, and friendly, with superior interpersonal skills.
